S2 LiteMat is set to define the next generation of LED lighting fixtures for Cinema, TV, and HD video. S2 LiteMat will change the way you light. It’s thin, lightweight, and is available in five sizes with Hybrid (bi-color) Kelvin temperature.

You are going to want to re-light everything you have ever lit.

Building on the success of the original LiteMat, with its thin and ultra lightweight housing, soft color-correct Hybrid (bi-color) output, and convenient mounting options, the S2 LiteMat takes lighting to the next level. The new S2 LiteMat is nearly 40% brighter than the original LiteMat, has better color quality, and a widely extended Kelvin range all without an increase in power draw. In addition, overall CRI increased to 95+ with a matching TLCI of more than 95 as well. With all of these tremendous advancements, S2 LiteMat remains compatible with all existing LiteDimmers, LitePower supplies, and cables.

S2 LiteMat is powered and controlled by the same gear used for VHO Pro LED LiteRibbon. As an existing LiteRibbon user, you can use your LiteDimmer Hybrid control as well as power supplies and battery adapters. If you have not yet explored the world of LiteGear’s LED LiteRibbon, now is a great time. Investments in power and controls work with over 100 variations of LiteRibbon as well or your new S2 LiteMat fixtures.


Simple, lightweight, and the power to do great things with it.

S2 LiteMat walks the line between a complete, ready-to-shoot system and a DIY light source. With its set of predefined accessories, it can serve the needs of DPs, gaffers, and lighting technicians looking for a more turn-key setup. Conversely, the S2 LiteMat head unit, with its Kino Flo®-compatible mounting system, offers great flexibility with its lightweight and modular design and high light output, allowing the S2 LiteMat to serve as the heart of your next great idea. You can easily make your own accessories or simple soft boxes, customized light banks, or even your own Chinese lantern. LiteDimmer Micro Hybrid and LiteMount (pictured) coming Fall 2016.


Color-Correct LED Panels Featuring CineMitters.

S2 LiteMat is a unique and lightweight LED lighting fixture system designed for cinema, television, and HD video. Born out of the need for a color-correct light source that is both lightweight yet durable, high quality yet economical, and simple yet cleverly fashioned, the system takes an unusual approach to lighting. By providing evenly spaced, color-correct LEDs spread out over a large area, S2 LiteMat creates soft light without requiring diffusion. This “soft-through-pixelization” method allows the unit to achieve surprisingly bright light levels while remaining under one inch thick in size and just one kilogram (2.2 lbs) in weight.

S2 LiteMat Optional Accessories

Accessories include a 3-inch PolySkirt that helps control the light output by limiting the amount of light exiting the fixture beyond the 120-degree primary field. There are 3 densities of Velcro®-attached diffusers that mount to the PolySkirt along with a light-control louver. The ParaSquare Louver is an aluminized sheet with parabolic elements within each hexagonal cell. It works well to provide desirable light output with refined edges and an even field. Its unique properties allow for lossless light output while providing outstanding peripheral light reduction. 



LiteMount

The LITEMOUNT is based on the RAM­­® ball-and-socket mounting system, a trusted, durable, and reliable mounting system with many
ancillary accessories. (Available Late 2016)


 Center Mount

The CENTER MOUNT is based on the Kino Flo® “K-Mount” system, a well established, reliable, and functional mounting system.


PolySkirt

The POLYSKIRT is a multi-wall polypropylene (coroplast) skirt that helps control the light output by limiting the amount of light exiting the fixture beyond the 120 degree primary field. It mounts to the LiteMat head with Velcro®and serves as an accessory holder as most require its use.


PolySnoot

The POLYSNOOT is a multi-wall polypropylene (coroplast) snoot that helps to further control light output by not only limiting the amount of light exiting the fixture beyond the 120-degree primary field but also allowing for the use of a second layer of diffusion or the SoftGrid. It mounts to the PolySkirt with Velcro® and is required when the SoftGrid is being used. (Available March 2017)


Parasquare Louver

The Parasquare louver is an aluminized plastic molded sheet with parabolic elements within each square cell that provides desirable and loss-less light output with refined edges and an even field. Velcro® strips are attached to the edges to serve as a mounting mechanism to the PolySkirt.


PolyGrid

The POLYGRID is a polycarbonate grid available in four different angles with circular cells that eliminate peripheral light and is incredibly lightweight. Velcro® strips are attached to the edges to serve as a mounting mechanism to the PolySkirt. (Available March 2017)


SoftGrid

The SOFTGRID is a collapsible fabric grid and available in a 30-degree angle. It can be easily stowed away when not in use, is durable, and helps to cut and shape light beautifully. The SoftGrid must be used in conjunction with the PolySnoot and is bordered entirely with Velcro® to serve as a mounting mechanism to the PolySnoot. (Available March 2017)


Diffusers

Woven fabric diffusers are made in industry-standard varieties and are assembled by stitching “hook” Velcro® around their borders to mate with the “loop” on the PolySkirt. Three densities of grid-cloth (quarter, half, and full) are available.


KitBag

The KITBAG holds the LiteMat fixture as well as the accessories, power supply, and cables. The bag is specifically designed to protect your gear from “everyday” damage due to environmental conditions.
