What is LiteMat?

The smartest, most flexible design of any studio fixture, and a breakthrough control system that remains simple to use.

With over 15,000 units in use worldwide by users at all levels of experience, LiteMat is the preferred choice for quick setups with its ease of use and vast mounting options.

Why LiteMat?

The LED LiteMat fixture is the ideal luminaire for stage, studio, or location lighting setups. Born out of the need for a color-correct light source that is lightweight yet durable, high quality yet economical, and simple yet innovative. LiteMat takes a unique approach to lighting. By providing evenly spaced, color-correct LEDs spread out over a large area, LiteMat creates soft light without requiring diffusion.

Simple
Lightweight
Controllable

LiteMat can be used anytime that soft and controllable light is required. As a key light, you can easily mount the unit on a “baby” stand or attach it to a wall with tape. Because it’s lightweight, LiteMat makes a great handheld fill light or one that can be easily mounted overhead.

Film schools have encouraged students to use the LiteMat because it’s

“easy to get great cinematic and soft results”

LiteMat is available in three great product lines,

each with their own benefits.

This changes everything.

While previous versions of LiteMat changed the way we light, LiteMat Spectrum changes everything, from pre-production planning to post-production workflow, allowing a filmmaker’s true vision to become a reality.

More About LiteMat Spectrum

Extending the Possibilities.

LiteMat Plus incorporates everything you love about LiteMat. Plus, it features the new CineMitter, the PL7 locking connection system, which happens to be the same for every size of LiteMat Plus and the new LiteDimmer Plus product line

More About LiteMat Plus

The power to do great things.

Building on the success of the original LiteMat, with its thin and ultra lightweight housing, soft color-correct Hybrid (bi-color) output, and convenient mounting options, the LiteMat Series 2 takes lighting to the next level.

More About LiteMat Series 2

You are going to want to
re-light everything you have ever lit.

The LiteMat S2 is nearly 40% brighter than the original LiteMat, has better color quality, and a widely extended Kelvin range, all without an increase in power draw. In addition, overall CRI increased to over 95 with a matching TLCI of more than 95 as well. Even with all of these advancements, S2 LiteMat remains compatible with all existing phoenix type connector accessories.

Powered and controlled by the same gear used for LiteRibbon

As an existing LiteRibbon user, you can use your LiteDimmer Hybrid controller as well as power supplies and battery adapters.

Better…Stronger…Brighter!

The LiteMat Plus series of light fixtures is the ideal luminaire for set lighting and rental company inventories. LiteMat Plus incorporates everything you love about LiteMat, features the new CineMitter, and adds some distinctly new features. The most notable change is the PL7 locking connection system, which happens to be the same for every size of LiteMat+ Plus and the new LiteDimmer+ Plus series of dimmers with built-in camera battery mounts. Available in 5 sizes, LiteMat remains one of the most affordable, professional cinema lighting fixtures available today.

Exclusive to LiteGear, the LiteMat Plus cinema emitters, or CineMitters sets the standard for cinematic, color-correct LED lighting. Efficient and full-spectrum, these LED chips offer state-of-the-art output with a 40% increase in brightness over traditional emitters.

Better…Stronger…Brighter!

Another distinct feature of the CineMitter is the extended Kelvin range. LiteGear pushed the lower CCT to 2600 degrees Kelvin allowing for output while increasing the CRI to over 95, that’s nearly indistinguishable from traditional incandescent sources! On the cool side, the CCT was pushed up to 6200K to better balance for overcast sky or cool white fluorescents. This increase in CCT still achieves a CRI of over 95 and provides beautiful, full-spectrum daylight.

The most camera compliant
LED light fixture available

LiteMat Spectrum accurately reproduces any shade of white that the camera considers correct. That can be anywhere between 2,000K to 11,000K with +/- 8 points of tint correction. LiteMat Spectrum can also augment its white light with color accents. Saturated color can be delicately added with 100 shades of depth.

LiteMat Spectrum can also improve post-production workflows, being the first lighting system to be certified color-space compliant. That means taking the guesswork out of color mixing for digital cinema. It’s unique and patent-pending color processing engine also provides wide color gamut desaturation.
