JOB SUMMARY

The QA Production Engineer will be responsible for ensuring world class DMFA manufacturing practices, including: assembly efficiency, vendor component(s) quality, work flow process control and more.  This is a new, full time position in our company and initially will report to the COO.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Be a leader within the company.
  • Refine, document, and implement world class manufacturing practices.
  •  Ensure manufacturing practices are adhered to and optimized as necessary.
  • Implement component quality assurance processes.
  • Track and resolve component failure issues with vendors.
  • Implement corrective action processes for NCM (non-conforming materials).
  •  Develop QC systems for production including testing & validation processes.
  •  Manage workflow process control.
  • Serve as primary liaison between production floor and engineering.
  • Work with engineering to design a layered/stackable assembly flow
  •  Develop manufacturing KPI’s and procedures.
  • Contribute to the manufacturing strategy and product development of LiteGear products.
  • Lead the development of LiteGear production process.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience in assembly, electronics manufacturing, ESD and industrial engineering.
  • Excellent written (MS Office) and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibit strong organizational with the ability to work quickly under pressure, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Must be self-motivated and self-disciplined.
  •  ISO9001.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Industrial Engineering focus preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing production processes.
