JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to organize and oversee the manufacturing of our entertainment lighting products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building production schedules, managing budgets and ensuring on time efficiency and quality targets are met.

Deep know-how in production procedures, specifically single-piece flow and with the ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance is a must. Decision-making and problem-solving are also critical for success in this role.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize workflow to meet quality guidelines and agreed upon daily production goals in an entertainment lighting manufacturing environment.
  • Develop manufacturing workflow and operational procedures designed to maximize production without sacrificing quality or safety.
  • Lead, support, and provide guidance to production staff of 20-25 employees.
  • Ensure all safety (OSHA) and health standards are met to keep organization accident-free.
  • Ability to resolve electrical and mechanical production issues/roadblocks via data evaluation and collaboration with cross organizational teams (engineering, inventory, procurement, etc.).
  • Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues (training, staffing, inventory, supply chain, etc.) impacting production.
  • Set daily, weekly, and quarterly productivity goals for each manufacturing team (3-6 teams) to meet or exceed forecast.
  • Establish and maintain a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs while optimizing efficiencies, reducing redundancies and manufacturing defects.
  • Responsible for researching costs, future needs and preparing budgets to maximize production efficiencies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum 5 years’ management experience in electrical or mechanical production/product environment.
  • Proven organizational and leaderships skills.
  • Excellent project management, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven record in training employee’s safety/production.
  • Strong working knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and understanding of ERP software(s).
