JOB SUMMARY

The ideal Accounting Clerk will be someone who is motivated, a self-starter, pays attention to detail and has experience generating sales and rental invoices in an accounting system and is familiar with a purchasing system within a business. Must have prior experience working in an Accounting Department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Knowledge of purchasing practices and accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and general accounting.
  • Ability to assist with all aspects of the billing processes.
  • Experience in reconciling financial entries and making corrections as needed.
  • Familiar with conducting routine calculations to verify and analyze financial data.
  • Ability to prepare spreadsheets and accounting reports.
  • Knowledge of verifying claims and processing orders and deposit slips.
  • Ability to learn new software platforms as the business needs evolve and become more complex and diversified.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Online Portals including Webstore, Flex Solutions, and Zen Desk.
  • Consistent ability to meet deadlines and maintain calendars related to office projects and activities.
  • Familiar with a Sales Order.
  • Ability to cross reference Sales Order with Invoice.
  • Heavy Data entry for A/R and A/P with a proficient ability to catch discrepancies.

  • Able to drive self-education from technical manuals and product overviews.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School and College Education.
  • Experience in accounting or business administration of 2 years or more.

SALARY

  • $41,000 to $48,000
