After years of formulation and extensive testing with A-list gaffers and renowned cinematographers, the fruits of our labor are finally available. Other similar products claim “high CRI” or “no green” but pale in comparison to VHO Pro’s full-spectrum color rendering. There are 24 variations to choose from for your next project.  VHO Pro LiteRibbon® is available in two densities: high-density 120 and low-density 60. VHO Pro120 provides a concentrated, slightly “hard” output at about 1.5 watts per square inch. When specifying an intense light source for a small area, VHO Pro120 is a great choice. When more subdued light is required, VHO Pro 60 provides an unmistakably soft light output.


Choosing the Best Sizes for Your Next Project

If the desired type of light is linear, X1, X2, or X3 are great choices. These provide light output that is sharp and cuttable in one direction but softer in the other. In contrast, the size of X6 provides a less linear output and is a great choice to achieve pools of light. The choice between X1, X2, X3, or X6 comes down to the amount of surface area your project requires. LiteRibbon not only comes in these 4 distinct widths, but there are many lengths to choose from as well.  Rolls of LiteRibbon start as long as 5 meters and scale all the way down to 2.6 inches, depending on the type of LiteRibbon.

Available Widths of LiteRibbon VHO Pro
VHO Pro LiteRibbon is available in a total of 4 widths: Single-wide “X1” features a single row of emitters while double-wide “X2” offers a twin row. Completing the line are the triple-wide “X3” and six-wide “X6.” All X1, X2, and X3 rolls of VHO Pro are available in eighth, quarter,  half, and full rolls, while X6 is available in quarter, half, and full rolls.


More Light vs. Less Light…Creating the Effect You Want

Low Density — 60 Emitters per Meter
When more subdued light is required, low-density 60 provides an unmistakably soft light.  At 60 emitters per meter, it produces beautiful, soft light without the need for diffusion filters.  When a delicate and sourceless light is required, low density is recommended because it spreads the LEDs out over a larger area creating a softer light.

High Density — 120 Emitters per Meter
Punch — that’s how to describe high-density 120.  This powerhouse LiteRibbon provides all the light possible for its physical size.  Great for any situation that calls for the output to go to “eleven.”


More Light vs. Less Light…Creating the Effect You Want

VHO Pro Tungsten provides an incandescent-like color that appears warm to the eye and to the camera. Performing at 3200K and 95 CRI, VHO Pro Tungsten is named for the metallic element that has been commonly associated with incandescent lighting. It beautifully mixes with legacy tungsten and halogen light sources and dims without Kelvin temperature shift.

VHO Pro Daylite provides midday, sun-like hues that can be used to boost available daylight without the use of filters. Performing at 6000K and 95 CRI, VHO Pro Daylite is named for the industry term used for other daylight, color-correct technologies like fluorescent and HMI. VHO Pro Daylite has been designed to match color and spectrum making it easy to openly mix light sources and lighting technologies.

VHO Pro Hybrid provides all the benefits of VHO Pro Tungsten and Daylite along with the range of Kelvin temperatures between 3200K and 6000K. This obvious advantage allows your LiteRibbon package or kit to always provide the required white balance without the need for filters. When used with one of our Hybrid LiteDimmers, you get granular control of Kelvin temperature along with master brightness, and with its LOW mode, it is possible to achieve ultra precise low-light level control.

Practical Applications For Any Location

Build-It-Yourself Fixtures
LiteRibbon is a product with hundreds of uses. One of these is making custom flat-panel lighting fixtures. LiteRibbon can be assembled in an array on a thin, lightweight panel of nearly any shape or size. You can then use it as a handheld fill or flood in a tight spot. Or you could wrap LiteRibbon around a tube and place it inside a pole-mounted, battery-operated Chinese lantern to create an airy, super soft light that will beautifully reproduce skin tones over the full dimmable range. Use VHO Pro HybridTM, and you now add adjustable Kelvin temperature too. Automobile Interiors
Perhaps LiteRibbon’s most appealing use is within the interior of a vehicle. It is here that nearly all of its advantages are fully realized. Flexibility allows it to conform to irregular shapes. Cuttability allows just the right amount of light in just the right location of the vehicle. Dimmability lets you easily fine-tune the output especially during magic hour when the available light is rapidly changing. Adding our DMX controls allows LiteRibbon to serve as a lighting effect for a poor-man’s-process setup.

Practical Locations
When shooting at a practical location, LiteRibbon has many uses and advantages over traditional lighting gear. Due to its lightweight, miniature size and adhesive backing, LiteRibbon is the most low-impact form of lighting available. Capable of being installed under kitchen cabinets and controlled by a LiteDimmer with a small battery placed inside the cabinet, the homeowner will never know you were there.
