Introducing VHO Pro LiteRibbon LED™
The new VHO Pro LED LiteRibbon is the simplest color correct lighting product available. Years in the making, just 3 simple components make this minimal light source created exclusively for cinema and tv production. At its core, the new VHO Pro LED emitters are a design breakthrough. We have created a beautiful, full spectrum, white light that renders skin-tones and colors to their natural state. VHO Pro emitters are fully color-correct and blend freely with legacy tungsten and fluorescent units as well as modern high-end LED fixtures from Arri, Mole Richardson and others. VHO Pro emitters are the first LEDs to bring high CRI, full spectrum color-correct white light to what we call low-output LED products. Typically reserved for high wattage and high cost LED fixtures, the new VHO Pro line brings color-correct white light into the affordable range.
LiteRibbon™ is made of color-correct, genuine VHO Pro emitters mounted to a white backing material that is flexible, cuttable and adhesive backed.
VHO Pro literibbon™ The simplest TV & Cinema lighting product available
VHO Pro emitters have been specifically formulated to render skin-tones beautifully. Their wide-angle output, combined with their ultra-low power consumption allows for precise control of daylight or tungsten balanced light in previously impossible areas of the set or prop or wardrobe project. Digital cinema cameras are finally living up to their promise of using less light without loss of image quality. Therefore, precise low output control of beautiful white light is more important that ever. VHO Pro Tungsten and Daylite is full-spectrum color-correct light with a 120º output at only 0.16 watts each!
Available in two densities VHO Pro “120” and “60”
VHO Pro LiteRibbon LEDs are available in two densities. VHO “120” has LEDs mounted on 8mm pitch, or 120 LEDs per meter. Since the new digital cameras require less light, we designed VHO “60” to be a full F-stop less that VHO “120” with LEDs on 16mm pitch or 60 LEDs per meter. This choice allows you to select the proper amount of light without affecting light quality. Both VHO “120” and VHO “60” are cuttable after every 3 emitters.
Available in two widths VHO Pro “X1” and “X6”
VHO Pro LiteRibbon LED is available in 2 widths. VHO “X1” features a single row of emitters while VHO “X6” features six rows. Both are available in “120” and “60” density at 8mm and 16mm pitch, respectively. As an example, VHO “120-X1” includes 120 emitters per meter in a single row. VHO “120-X6” features six rows of LEDs on the same 8mm pitch resulting in 6 times the amount of light in the same length. VHO “X1” is available in lengths up to 5 meters. VHO “X6” is available in single units that include 180 emitters total. Both “X1” and “X6” are available in Tungsten, Daylite, and Hybrid.
Practical Uses as Build-It-Yourself Fixtures
LiteRibbon™ is a product with hundreds of uses. One of these is custom lighting flat panel fixtures. LiteRibbon™ can be assembled in an array on a thin, lightweight panel of nearly any shape or size you need and used as a hand-held fill or flood in a tight spot. Or you could wrap LiteRibbon™ around a tube and placed inside a pole-mounted, battery operated chinese lantern to create an airy, super soft light that will reproduce beautiful skin tones over the full dimmable range. Practical Uses in Automobile Interiors
Perhaps LiteRibbons most appealing use is within the interior of a vehicle. It is here that nearly all of it advantages are fully realized. Flexibility allows it to conform to irregular shapes. Cut-ability allows just the right amount of light in just the right location of the vehicle. Dimmability lets you easily fine-tune the output especially during magic-hour when the available light is rapidly changing. Practical Uses at Practical Locations
When shooting at a practical location, LiteRibbon has many uses and advantage over traditional lighting gear. Due to its lightweight, miniature size and adhesive backing, LiteRibbon is the most low-impact form of lighting available. Capable of being installed under kitchen cabinets and powered by a LiteDimmer and a small battery placed inside the cabinet, the home owner will never know you were there. Whether boosting daylight or creating a subtle under-cabinet glow at night, you are sure to have as much (or as little) controllable, low-impact, color-correct light as needed.
